About
Background
Although the original concept was conceived a year prior, PPA wasn't born until March 19, 2008 at approximately 2am, after 10 straight and grueling hours of development as a last minute submission to MashupCamp's Best Mashup Contest.
User story
PPA answers the question "What is he/she doing?" The vision is to create a Twitter bot that connects a user's calendar, gtalk status, and a whole host of other data sources into one remotely queryable interface. And anyone can ask this interface "Where is Dave?" and receive a response like "Well he isn't in front of IM, but he has class in 10 minutes, so he might be in transit. But his phone is in the charger, so he either forgot his phone or is oversleeping." Instead of requiring the user to broadcast what he/she is doing, PPA is an AI to provide status on demand.

Creators
PPA was lovingly created by David Horn and Lisa Brewster of
Technarium.com, a garage startup in San Diego creating applications to help people manage and learn from the data they generate every day.
